September-Back to School-A Great Big Pile of Leaves

The excitement and energy of the first day of school felt the same this year.  Although, I was much less stressed as I didn't have to learn 150 new names, make sure I had prepared engaging first day activities while also ensuring all of my students had the information and materials they needed to start the new year.  Then all of a sudden the bell rang to start first period, and I was the only one in the hallway without a place to go.  It was just me, and my walkie talkie (a.k.a. radio depending on how technical you want to get :) alone in the empty halls.

I now have to carry this wherever I go during the school day
