No, you don't give up rights at school. But schools can limit your rights more than the government can because schools have to protect the safety of all students and maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
IT depends where you post/publish/comment. The case we were talking about-Hazelwood vs. Kuhlmeier said the school can censor a school newspaper if they feel the articles interfere with the learning environment
